Things to Do

Floating the Buffalo, whether in a kayak, canoe or tube, is one of the most popular to-do's on the Buffalo National River.  There are plenty of outfitters eager to outfit you for the adventure, or bring your own!

There are many wonderful trails to explore around the Buffalo River and the Ozarks.  From Hawskbill Crag to Hemmed-in-Hallow, there are plenty of trails for all levels of exlplorers.  

Waterfalls are a very rewarding destination, and there are plenty of beautiful falls around here!

The Ozarks draws riders from all over, and its no wonder, there are incredible rides throughout the Ozarks!  Whether you are looking for orgnaized rides or just want to head out on your own, there is something for everyone. 

 Renowned for its stunning natural beauty, the Buffalo River offers some of the best swimming holes in the Arkansas. Take a dip and cool off  under gorgous bluffs.

Watching herds of elk, especially in the rutting season in the fall, is a sureal adventure.   There are some good places along the Buffalo that elk love to hang out.

Venture beneath the surface and discover another world.  Caves are plentiful throughout the Ozarks, and we have several nearby.

A small town with big adventures!  At the heart of the upper Buffalo National River, Jasper is a jumping off point for hiking, river access, or four wheeling and boast several great events and eateries to write home about.  

A worthy vacation destination, there is plenty of entertainment in nearby Branson.  Between the shows, museums, amusement parks & coasters, shopping, golf, restaurants, etc there are plenty of attractions for everyone!
